Town of Atlanta Planning Commission Meeting -
August 10, 2021 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Clarence Glotfelty, Roger Roehl, Susan Mayer, Mark Christoffersen
Team will individually review the entire town comprehensive plan but especially section 7, 8, and 9 which are available at http://www.townofatlanta.com/planning-commission
Discussion on what our definition of ‘dwelling’ and ‘hunting camp or seasonal dwelling’ will be. Suggestion is that, among other details, a hunting camp or seasonal dwelling’ has no electrical hookup, no running water, no septic system and isn’t inhabited more than 30 days in a year (though variances may be applied for.) Also discussion on what would require permits from the town. List currently includes driveways, garages, and anything placed within setback rules. Finally team decided the town would require a permanent planning commission to make recommendations to the board on permits and on requested variances. All requests would go through the town clerk and be passed on to the planning commission leader. Next meeting will be September 7 (the Tuesday before the monthly town board meeting.)
Suggestions for the committee are welcome.
